Start with the five restaurants the Michelin Guide marks $$$$ in Nashville: The Catbird Seat, Bastion, Locust, Tailor, and Junior (MICHELIN Guide). The Catbird Seat cooks a tasting menu at a U-shaped counter on the fifth floor of 700 8th Ave S (The Catbird Seat). Bastion runs a 24-seat dining room in Wedgewood-Houston, and its reservations open on the first of each month for the whole following month (Bastion). Locust, at 2305 12th Ave S, serves a tasting menu at lunch and also opens for dinner, both Friday to Sunday (Locust). Tailor in Germantown serves 8 courses in its dining room and 10 at its chef’s bar (Tailor). If you would rather order à la carte, two restaurants fit. Husk serves “an ever-changing menu” drawn from Tennessee purveyors and farmers (Husk). Yolan, inside The Joseph hotel, serves Italian à la carte and a tasting menu nightly from 5 to 10 p.m. (Yolan). Audrey in East Nashville still appears on older lists, but its site says its final day of service was August 16, 2026 (Audrey).

Choosing One

  1. For a counter view of the kitchen: The Catbird Seat.
  2. For a small room with a bar to wait in: Bastion, whose cocktail bar is open to the public.
  3. For a tasting menu at lunch: Locust, Friday to Sunday.
  4. For a group that wants to order separately: Husk or Yolan.
  5. For dietary restrictions: ask before you book; Locust says it cannot accommodate them.
