The Ryman Auditorium does not have its own public parking lot. The venue sits at 116 Rep. John Lewis Way North, half a block north of Broadway between 4th and 5th Avenues. This puts it in the heart of downtown Nashville’s densest parking zone, which means lots of options and none of them cheap on show nights.
The Official Recommended Option
The Ryman’s own website designates Fifth + Broadway garage (179 Rep. John Lewis Way N) as the official self-parking location, directly across the street. This is the most convenient walk. On Ryman show nights, expect event surcharges at walk-up. Pre-book through SpotHero or ParkWhiz for a guaranteed spot at a better rate.
Valet Parking
The Ryman offers valet for most shows, excluding Opry at the Ryman events. Cost is $25 per car. Enter from Fifth Avenue and pull up to the valet stand, which opens one hour before the show and closes one hour after. Nissan vehicles park free in the valet (a long-running venue partnership). The code RYMAN on the Premier Parking App gives 15% off at participating nearby lots.
Best Nearby Garages
Church Street Plaza Garage (Metro Library) – 151 6th Ave N: About a 3-minute walk to the Ryman entrance. Metro-owned, consistently the best value downtown. Evening and event parking runs $5-20, cheaper than most private options nearby. No pre-booking required, but it fills up.
One Nashville Place – 158 4th Ave N: Open 24/7, in the same block as the Ryman entrance on 4th Avenue. Private garage, more expensive than the Metro option but the shortest possible walk.
SoBro Tower Garage – 206 3rd Ave S: About 2-3 blocks away across Broadway. One of the closer options south of the venue.
Pinnacle at Symphony Place – 150 3rd Ave S: Similar distance, good backup if SoBro Tower is full.
Hilton Nashville Downtown Garage – 161 4th Ave S: Public parking available even if you are not a hotel guest. Roughly a 2-block walk.
The Rideshare Option
Lyft is the official rideshare partner of the Ryman. New users can use code RYMANAUD for 50% off the first two rides (up to $10 per ride). Drop-off and pickup happens on 5th Avenue. For sold-out Ryman shows, rideshare is genuinely the better call. Post-show parking exit gridlock in the Broadway corridor can add 20-40 minutes to your night. Being able to walk out and be moving in a rideshare inside of 10 minutes beats sitting in a garage queue.
Practical Tips
Pre-booking through SpotHero or ParkWhiz saves money versus walk-up event pricing, which at private lots near Broadway can hit $30-50. Book the day before at the latest. On non-event weeknights, the same garages often have $10-15 flat rates with no need to pre-book.
The Metro Library garage is the best combination of price, proximity, and reliability. If it is full, One Nashville Place is the next best walk to the 4th Avenue entrance.
