Start with The Grilled Cheeserie, a truck from married couple Crystal De Luna-Bogan and Joseph Bogan. Islands.com reported on February 19, 2026 that Tasting Table named it the best food truck in Tennessee in late 2025 (Islands). The truck serves cheese-filled sandwiches, including a pimento mac and cheese melt, plus tater tots, kettle chips, and tomato soup. It runs year-round and parks in different places around the city, and you can track it and pre-order on its website. Islands puts a typical meal with a drink, a side, and tip at around $20 per person. If you want to sit down, the Cheeserie also has a restaurant next to Vanderbilt University’s campus and a Café Cheeserie inside the Frist Art Museum. Several other trucks earn a place in The Infatuation’s 2026 Nashville guides. King Tut’s is an Egyptian falafel truck on Nolensville Pike (The Infatuation). Dreamburger parks its purple truck outside Vinyl Tap, and Brave Idiot serves its Crispy Boi smashburger from a truck window (The Infatuation). Ooh Wee Bar-B-Q sells barbecue chicken legs for under $3 from a bright blue truck in North Nashville (The Infatuation).

From Truck to Permanent Spot
Some of Nashville’s mobile kitchens have settled down, according to The Infatuation’s October 5, 2026 pizza guide (The Infatuation):
- Pizza Lolo: once a pop-up, now in one of Lost & Found’s shipping containers in East Nashville.
- FAB Pizza: once a pop-up, now has a permanent spot at Crazy Gnome Brewery in East Nashville.
- Papa Turney’s Old Fashioned BBQ: a food truck turned brick and mortar at the Marina at Nashville Shores.
Finding a Truck
- Check the truck’s own site or social account the same day; trucks move.
- Go at lunch on a weekday for The Grilled Cheeserie, which Islands says you can find “just about any weekday.”
- Ask about catering directly with the truck; prices are set by each operator.
Cheap meals beyond trucks are in the best cheap eat in Nashville.
